In Memoriam: Michael J. Russo

Michael J. Russo, 43, of Middletown, DE, and Stamford, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 1st.

He was born on December 16th, 1971,in Norwalk. He was the son of Lina Pimpinella Russo and the late Angelo Russo.

He attended Norwalk High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University. He was employed at Capital One Associates in Wilmington, Delaware as a Principal Operations Associate. He enjoyed many things including coaching his daughter’s soccer teams, rooting for his precious Miami Dolphins and Azzurri Italian soccer team, a good braciola, and of course, spending time with his very good friends and family.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Tammy Frano Russo, adored children, Christopher and Julianna Russo, stepchildren, Corporal Jeffrey S. Wilson, Jr., USMC, and Kelly Wilson, his brother, Anthony Russo, and his wife, MaryBeth, of Hillsborough, NJ, his sister, Angela Golden, and her husband, Meloyed, of Bridgeport, CT, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, will be on Monday, December 7, from 8:30-11 A.M; family and friends are welcome. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.

In lieu of flowers, donations made, in Mike’s memory, to The American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated.
