In Memoriam: Santino DiCamillo
The Stamford resident and Pitney Bowes retiree passed away Jan. 19 at the age or 85.

Santino DiCamillo, of Stamford, 85, passed away peacefully on Jan. 19, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Santino was born January 9, 1931 in Alanno, Province of Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy. He was the son of the late Giacomino DiCamillo and Gemma DiTomasso DiCamillo.

Santino is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Maria DiCamillo. He was a loving father to his children Ivana Anderson (Ken) and Jack DiCamillo and also a wonderful grandfather to his five grandchildren, Santino, Joseph, Kevin, Michael and Morgan. He is also survived by his siblings, John DiCamillo (Dora) of Bethel, Angelina DiNino (Benito) of Stamford, Maria Santorella of Norwalk, and Nicoletta “Mickey” Cuscuna (Rocky) of Stamford.
Santino moved to Stamford from Italy in 1966 along with his family. Santino was an avid gardener, a fun loving, hardworking man who enjoyed time with his family, he always had a smile on his face. Santino worked at Pitney Bowes for 26 years.

Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister Nicoletta (Nina) DiCamillo and his brother-in-law Vincent Santorella, Sr.
The DiCamillo family will receive the sympathy of family and friends at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford, on Friday, January 22, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1 p.m. at St. Clement of Rome Parish, 535 Fairfield Ave., Stamford. Immediately following, he will be laid to rest at St John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., in Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Santino’s memory to the: Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
