MilkShake Factory To Open First CT Location In Stamford

The family-owned Pennsylvania-based business began in 1914 and has expanded to multiple locations around the country.

STAMFORD, CT — MilkShake Factory, a Pennsylvania-based chain that serves up handspun milkshakes and premium chocolates, will open its first Connecticut location in Stamford at the High Ridge Shopping Center inside the former home of Cold Stone Creamery.

A company spokesperson told Patch the location is planning to open in the second half of fall 2025. Further details were not available.

Family-owned since 1914, the business started off as an old-fashioned soda fountain and chocolate shop and evolved into an iconic spot for sweets in Pittsburgh.

There are now multiple locations in Pittsburgh and throughout Pennsylvania and North Carolina, as well as single outposts in Michigan, Texas and Utah. The company's website shows more locations "coming soon" to Arizona, Colorado, Florida and North Carolina.

The menu at MilkShake Factory features signature milkshakes ranging from the chocolate-dipped strawberry to peanut butter brownie. Milkshakes are made with homemade ice cream, and there are also dairy-free options.
