New Vessel Added To Stamford Police Department Harbor Unit

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department has added a new vessel to its harbor unit, according to a recent announcement.

The SPD Harbor Unit will now be able to utilize a personal watercraft.

"This versatile asset enhances our ability to respond quickly and effectively along Stamford’s busy shoreline," police said in a social media post. "Whether assisting in water rescues, navigating tight or shallow areas, or providing essential visibility during large-scale events, this watercraft is a critical addition to our marine operations."

The SPD thanked the Stamford Police Foundation, Vincent Island LLC, wallaks Point Association, Shippan Point Halloween Yacht Club, "and many others whose generaous support made this possible."

"Your continued investment ensures we have the tools we need to protect and serve our community — both on land and at sea," police added.
