Over 500 Illegal THC Products Seized From Local Businesses, 2 Arrested: Stamford PD
Officials conducted unannounced compliance checks at local retail stores following complaints from the public, according to police.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department announced on Thursday it seized over 500 illegal THC products from local businesses and arrested two employees in the process earlier this week.
Coordinated compliance checks were conducted on July 21 at two local retail stores by SPD detectives and agents from the CT Department of Consumer Protection following multiple complaints from the public, according to police.
Overall, 536 illegal THC products weighing a combined 18.5 pounds, per DCP conversion standards, were recovered.

At Golden Cave Convenience, located at 871 High Ridge Road, officials seized 226 illegal THC products and arrested Mohab Soliman, 28, of Jersey City, N.J., police said.
Soliman was charged with possession of marijuana greater than 1 kilogram and possession with intent to sell.

At Smoke Times, 108 Bedford St., 310 illegal THC products were confiscated and Zeine Moulaye, 36, of Stamford, was arrested and also charged with possession of marijuana greater than 1 kilogram and possession with intent to sell.
Both employees were given $5,000 bonds and a court date of Aug. 4.
"These enforcement actions highlight our continued commitment to keeping our neighborhoods safe and upholding consumer protection laws," police said.
