Previous public office, appointive or elective:
I am seeking second term for the Board of Representatives. I have not held any other positions prior to that.
Why are you seeking this office?
I am running because I am passionate about serving our community and committed to making Stamford an even better place to live, work, raise a family and retire.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
One of the main issue in my district is traffic congestion and pedestrian safety around schools in the neighborhood. I will collaborate with the city to improve infrastructure and enhance pedestrian safety. I remain committed to supporting the Vision Zero policy, a citywide initiative aimed at eliminating traffic fatalities.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I consider myself as a natural collaborator and problem solver and I look forward to working with like minded people who want to work towards the growth of our city.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Some of my other priorities are as follows:
1. Support investment in education through the construction of new schools to enhance overall quality.
2. Support housing expansion to make it more accessible and affordable to all.
3. Promote the preservation and maintenance of local parks and community spaces
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have consistently support the Board of Education budget to ensure our students get the programs and resources needed. I have also strongly supported funding Fund 57, which will help lower long-term bonding costs for construction of new schools. I have supported ordinances that promote environmental safety and help preserve parks. I have also voted to reduce building fees for affordable housing units.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Don't pretend to be someone that you are not.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I have lived in Stamford for 15 years and have been an active volunteer in the community. I have spent many years serving on the parent teacher organizations at my children’s schools. I am committed to serving my constituents in the best way I can.
