Pedestrian Struck By 4 Cars In Fatal Hit-And-Run On I-95 In Stamford: State Police

Police are asking for the public's help in obtaining information on three evading vehicles.

STAMFORD, CT — Connecticut State Police say a pedestrian was killed after they were struck by four cars — three of which left the scene — on I-95 in Stamford early Wednesday morning. The pedestrian was unidentified as of Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:24 a.m. on Nov. 19 when, for unknown reasons, a pedestrian was within the right travel lane of I-95 North just before exit 6, state police said in an update Thursday afternoon.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and thrown to the left part of the highway, state police said, noting the vehicle left the scene.

Two more evading vehicles struck the pedestrian, and another vehicle became disabled after it couldn't avoid striking the pedestrian while merging from the center lane to the left lane, according to state police. The driver of the fourth vehicle stayed at the scene.

No other information was obtained on the three evading vehicles, police noted.

The northbound lanes between exits 4 and 5 on I-95 were closed for several hours on Wednesday as authorities conducted an investigation. The lanes reopened around 1 p.m.
