Popular Poke Bowl Restaurant Set To Open New Location In Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — Natural Kitchen, the popular poke bowl restaurant chain with several locations in Connecticut, is set to open a new outpost in Stamford on Sept. 5.

Located at 5 Broad St. under Target, the Stamford location will open at 11 a.m. Friday, according to store owner Simon Zhang, who said it's taken about half a year to get to opening day.

There are currently locations in Milford, Trumbull and Waterbury, with another outpost planned for Norwalk in 2026. Zhang also said a Natural Kitchen could be coming to Wilton.

Natural Kitchen specializes in poke bowls and a variety of bubble teas, green teas and milk teas.

Customers are able to make their own creations from the poke bowl bar, or choose from a selection of premade signature bowls. Bowls are made right in front of the customer, similar to Chipotle.

Menus at other locations also feature a variety of soups, dumplings, salads and desserts, like waffle ice cream cones.

"Everything we have is fresh. We get whole salmon and tuna and we break it down ourselves. We purchase veggies maybe four times a week," Zhang told Patch. "We really emphasize freshness and our customer service."

There are several tables inside the Stamford restaurant, with plenty of room for people who want to stop by, grab a bite to eat, and sit and do homework or office work, according to Zhang.

To celebrate the opening, Stamford customers can get a free green tea or milk tea with the purchase of a poke bowl this weekend, Zhang said. Natural Kitchen will also be giving away "Nabubu" dolls to customers while supplies last.

Natural Kitchen in Stamford will be open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
