Popular 'Saturday Night Live' Star Visits Iconic CT Pizzeria In Stamford
The popular actor and comedian who formerly starred on "Saturday Night Live" recently visited an iconic CT pizzeria's Stamford location.
STAMFORD, CT — It seems even celebrities can't get enough of Connecticut's famous New Haven-style pizza, as popular actor and comedian Pete Davidson recently visited Sally's Apizza in Stamford, the restaurant confirmed.
On Friday, the iconic pizzeria chain with nearly a century of history in Connecticut posted a picture to its social media of Davidson at the Stamford location.
Davidson is pictured holding one of Sally's iconic pizza boxes, which appears to be signed by the former "Saturday Night Live" actor.

"Even New Yorkers make the trip," Sally's wrote on social media along with the picture of Davidson.
Davidson starred on the popular late night sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live" for eight seasons from 2014 to 2022. He has also starred in a number of popular films, including "Trainwreck," "What Men Want," "The King of Staten Island" and "The Suicide Squad," according to the Internet Movie Database.
Davidson also had cameos in the popular films "Fast X" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," as well as voice roles in the films "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" and "Dog Man."
Davidson is not the first celebrity to make a trip to Sally's in recent years.
"Iron Man" and "Shakespeare in Love" star Gwyneth Paltrow visited the pizzeria's New Haven location in 2022 and proclaimed it "the most perfect pizza."
In 2023, former late night host Conan O'Brien visited the New Haven pizzeria after having been turned away once before.
Arguably one of Connecticut's most famous pizza shops that originated in New Haven, Sally's has become known over the years for its "thin crust pizza still baked in the same coal-fired oven that has been in use for over 80 years."
Founded in the late 1930's by Salvatore Consiglio, his family sold the Wooster Street business in late 2017 to Stamford-based Lineage Hospitality, which said at the time that it had plans to expand the business nationally.
In addition to its famed New Haven location, Sally's currently operates restaurants in Stamford, Fairfield, Wethersfield and Farmington, as well as Woburn, Mass.
The pizzeria's website also teases a number of new locations "coming soon," including Norwalk, Newington and South Windsor, as well as a number of Massachusetts locations.
A Sally's restaurant has long been planned to open at the SoNo Collection mall in Norwalk but has faced delays since it was first announced back in 2019.
In January, the company teased an upgraded design for the new Norwalk restaurant, then anticipated to open sometime between April and June, and promised fans the opening will be "worth the wait."
