Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Marks Launch Of Evergreen Daytime Senior Care
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held at Evergreen, 884 Newfield Ave. in Stamford.
STAMFORD, CT — Evergreen Daytime Senior Care, a new concept in older adult care, celebrated its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Caregiver Wellness Event at 884 Newfield Avenue.
Among the sixty-five guests at this celebratory event were Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons, Stamford Chamber of Commerce President Heather Cavanagh, ten new Evergreen members and a host of family caregivers from Stamford, New Canaan and Darien. Onsite exhibitors - including Stamford Health, Alzheimer’s Association, Cereset Wellness Technology, CaringKind and WellnessSphere - provided family caregivers with guidance, resources and support as they continue to care for their loved ones.
As seniors are living longer, Evergreen provides affordable daytime care and engagement for older adults that they could not experience at home alone. With specially trained staff, Evergreen offers stimulating activities like art history, chair yoga, gardening, music, and even virtual reality experiences in the company of friends and neighbors.

According to Gail Szakacs, M.D., founder of Beyond the Prescription/Medicine Reimagined and an event speaker, “Evergreen’s approach creates a dynamic environment where seniors can grow, gain new skills, find a new sense of purpose and truly thrive. This support also helps caregivers avoid the tremendous emotional and physical toll of caregiving. Today, we opened a door to a brighter, healthier future for our seniors, for their caregivers and for all of us.”
