Sexual Assault Charges Lodged Against Stamford Man
Police said a firearm was used during an incident at a hotel.
A Stamford man is facing sexual assault charges stemming from an incident at a West Haven hotel.
West Haven Police said they arrested Michael Anthony Russell, 25, of Aberdeen Street, Stamford, in connection with a Nov. 29 incident that originally was reported as a robbery at the Hampton Inn Hotel.
Russell was arrested on charges of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault with a firearm. “A firearm was recovered in this incident. He was held on $100,000 bond,” police said.
