Stamford to Celebrate 'Take Your Child to the Library Day'
This weekend's programs kicks off a monthlong series of events for kids.

There are plenty of programs to keep the kids busy at Stamford public libraries this month.
It all starts this weekend with ‘Take Your Child to the Library Day.’

Take Your Child to the Library Day
Saturday, February 6
You’re invited to celebrate the 5th annual National Take Your Child to the Library Day. For ages 5 and up. Families welcome. Stickers at all Library locations.
- Sing Me a Story at 10:30 a.m. Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch. The Ferguson’s Dr. Ev leads a morning of music and movement. Ages 3 to 8 with caregiver.
- Zumba® Kids at 2 p.m. Main Library, DiMattia Building. Third Floor Auditorium. We are celebrating with this exciting, interactive and easy-to-follow Latin-inspired Zumba® Kids class! A fabulous way to release energy, this “exercise in disguise” class will have everyone smiling and dancing. For ages 5 and up. Grown-ups feel free to join in the fun! Remember to wear sneakers, and bring a bottle of water. Drop-in program. No registration required.

Animal Embassy Presents: Animals on the Move

Animals move in a variety of ways including swimming, gliding, slithering, climbing, jumping and hopping. Get up close and personal with a variety of real live animals including turtles, birds, frogs, rabbits and more, and learn all about their special forms of movement. Ages 4 and up.
