STAMFORD, CT — A house fire on Stephen Street left two families displaced Sunday evening, according to the Stamford Advocate. The families included four adults and three children, who are being helped by the American Red Cross to meet their immediate needs.

Firefighters responded at 7 p.m. to find a fire that spread to two floors. Firefighters say the walls and ceilings had to be split open to contain the fire, resulting in major damage.
