Stamford Health Raises Over $700K At 15th Annual 'Dream Ball' Event
The evening raised funds for the future and total transformation of Stamford Health's Van Munching Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Health recently held its 15th annual Dream Ball event at the Tully Health Center and raised over $700,000 in support of the Van Munching Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
This year’s event featured master of ceremonies Paul Shaffer, who served as David Letterman's musical director and band leader on the entire run of both "Late Night" and "Late Show with David Letterman." Shaffer was also joined by special musical guest Valerie Simpson.
Remarks were made by Stamford Health President and CEO Kathleen Silard, Board Chair James Thomas, and Stamford Hospital Foundation Board Chair Mark DeWaele.

The evening of Nov. 2 focused on raising funds for the future and total transformation of Stamford Health’s Van Munching Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. The new unit will allow for state-of-the-art therapeutic modalities and equipment such as an immersive driving simulator, zero-G gait & balance system, simulated outdoor area, and mechanical lifts to support patients in their recovery and decrease physical strain on staff.
The event showcased a brave and resilient patient’s journey through a traumatic brain injury who received rehabilitation care at Stamford Health.
