“The challenges facing today's state leaders are daunting and the pace of change is accelerating,” said CSG Executive Director and CEO David Adkins, a former Kansas state senator and 1993 Toll Fellow, in an announcement.
"Now, more than ever, our nation needs state leaders who know how to bring people together to get stuff done. The CSG Toll Fellows are among our nation's best leaders. I hope this program helps empower them to deliver results for the citizens they serve."
The Toll Fellowship, established in 1986, is named for CSG founder and former Colorado state senator Henry Toll. Alumni of the program include more than 1,400 officials nationwide, among them governors, secretaries of state, attorneys general, legislative leaders and state supreme court justices.
Fellows are selected through a competitive nomination process led by past participants and are invited to join the program based on demonstrated leadership and public service.
