Stamford Man Ticketed for Pot Possession

New Canaan Police cited a man for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession after an office checked on a parked car in Waveny Park.

It was about 5:42 p.m. Jan. 16 when the officer on patrol in Waveny Park observed an occupied vehicle in the park. While the officer was checking on the vehicle and speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana, according to a police report.

The officer issued an infraction ticket to Sean Haas, 21, of 180 Davenport Farm Ln., Stamford for possession of drug paraphanalia and possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana.

Haas is accused of having a glass pipe and grinder in the vehicle.
