Stamford Mayor Awards Neighborhood Grants
The funded projects include supplies for planting projects in several neighborhoods and upgraded neighborhood signs.

From the Office of the Mayor: Mayor David Martin and Director of Social Services Ellen Bromley today awarded grants to several deserving neighborhood associations and local organizations. The funded projects include supplies for planting projects in several neighborhoods and upgraded neighborhood signs.
“Congratulations to everyone receiving a grant today and thank you for your commitment to making our city even better,” said Mayor Martin. “Even in these challenging fiscal times, it is important to me to support our neighborhoods in projects they are doing to enhance life in Stamford.”
The selected projects needed to address issues of importance to, improve the quality of life in, or enhance and beautify Stamford neighborhoods or community spaces. Applications were eligible for a maximum $4,000 grant from the city. Applicants are expected to leverage city funds with their own funds, labor, services, products or other contributions. To the extent that city personnel and resources are available, funded applicant groups will be able to access advice, support and/or in-kind assistance for their projects from the City.
