Stamford Physician Surrenders Medical License; Another Fined
One doctor was accused of allowing unlicensed men to perform procedures on patients; A second doctor has unlicensed staff give injections.

A Stamford doctor, already convicted of aiding in the unauthorized practice of unlicensed medicine in New York, has surrendered his Connecticut medical license in a disciplinary case.
And a second doctor reportedly was fined for allowing unlicensed personnel to give injections to patients.
Dr. Marlon Castillo, who was facing charges of allowing two unlicensed men perform liposuction on two unsuspecting patients, voluntarily surrendered his Connecticut medical license Feb. 29, according to The Advocate.
The state Medical Examining Board agreed to drop disciplinary charges against Castillo, who was accused in the case that involved liposuction procedures done at his Stamford On Shape Medical Spa in 2011, because he surrendered his license to practice medicine. The patients were permanently disfigured.
