STAMFORD, CT – June 29, 2016 – Undaunted by more than 20 intense obstacles, on Sunday, June 19, the Stamford Public Education Foundation’s first Tough Mudder Team proudly completed the Tough Mudder/New England endurance challenge. The event, which is built on and around Mount Snow’s iconic Green Mountains in Vermont, tests participants' toughness, fitness, strength, stamina, mental grit and teamwork.
More than $5,000 was raised through a combination of sponsorships (including Gold Sponsors View Entertainment) and crowdfunding by each Tough Mudder participant:

  • Matthew Quinones, Stamford Public Education, CEO
  • Angela Balduyck, WUSTHOF, Marketing Assistant
  • Randy Bilik, Julia A. Stark Elementary School, 5th Grade Teacher
  • Michael Buccino, The Dowling Group Wealth Management, Vice President
  • Matt Buccino, Indeed, Associate Manager
  • Therese Marrotte, St. Vincent’s s Medical Center, Registered Nurse
  • Casey Mullins, Power Secure Lighting, Client Service Associate
  • Skye Rotante, MediaMath, Executive Assistant

Skye Rotante commented, “Competing in my first Tough Mudder was challenging but a fantastic experience for me. It’s all about working together as a team to make it through each obstacle and on to the next. Together we made it to the finish line, earned our headbands, and achieved our goal of raising more than $5,000 to support SPEF’s educational programs.”
