Stamford Senior Living Community Waterstone on High Ridge Raises funds for Alzheimer's Association

Waterstone on High Ridge raises $3,300 with a Luau event, the first in a series of fundraisers leading up to Alzheimer's Walks in October

STAMFORD, CONN. - September, 2025 - Getting a jump on its October push to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association, EPOCH Senior Living’s Waterstone on High Ridge community has raised $3,300 with a successful Luau-inspired event at the Stamford property.

The recent celebration featured food, hula dancers, and live entertainment, and marks the first in a series of events leading up to the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in October.

“We are very excited about the results of our fundraiser,’’ said Jeanine Ricci, Senior Advisor at Waterstone on High Ridge. “This is a wonderful start, and we want to encourage everyone to support us at the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Sherwood Island State Park on October 26.”

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. The event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 5.8 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, a number projected to nearly triple to 14 million by 2050.
