STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Town Center will introduce a new parking system this October, replacing its pay stations with a mobile-first platform operated by AirGarage, a parking technology company with sites across the country.

The system will allow visitors to start and stop parking sessions directly from their smartphones. Parking will remain $1 per hour, though a 35-cent processing fee will be added to each transaction.

"We’re excited to bring AirGarage’s technology to Stamford Town Center," said Stamford Town Center General Manager Dan Stolzenbach in an announcement. "This upgrade is all about making parking easier for our guests. No more pay stations, no more tickets, just a smooth, modern experience, especially if customers opt into the automatic sessions feature."

Sessions begin when you park and end when you leave, and drivers can pay manually through the AirGarage app or website.

Visitors using AirGarage can also opt-in to automatic sessions. License plate recognition automatically begins and ends sessions when drivers enter and exit the garage.

"Stamford Town Center is a perfect fit for AirGarage," said AirGarage CEO Jonathan Barkl. "They’re focused on delivering a best-in-class experience, and we’re proud to help make parking as easy and efficient as the rest of the visit."
