Stamford Waterfront Compound Sells For Record Price

The private waterfront compound consists of two coastal homes and five cottages. It recently sold for $8.4 million.

STAMFORD, CT — A waterfront compound at 18 Wallacks Drive in Stamford recently sold for $8.4 million, the highest residential closing in the city's history.

The previous high was held by the 2003 closing of 957 Rock Rimmon Road for $8.2 million. The highest waterfront property that closed in 2021 was 123 Saddle Rock Road at $7.5 million, according to real estate company Brown Harris Stevens.

Spanning more than six acres, the private waterfront compound on Wallacks Drive consists of two coastal homes and five cottages, plus over 500 feet of private sandy beaches and endless views.

According to the original listing, the first home on the property is known as Fieldstone Manor, and it features two beachfront cottages and a 205-foot dock. The other home, an 1890's carriage house, has a gunite pool and sweeping lawns.

Altogether, the buildings on the property combine for 55 rooms, 19 bedrooms, 20 full and four half baths, and over 20,000 square feet.

The property is located 38 miles from New York City, and is close to the train station, shopping and restaurants.

"Wallacks Point is a hidden gem in Stamford. This waterfront compound is unique both as a property and within the context of the overall market," said Jennifer Runnette, a licensed real estate salesperson from Brown Harris Stevens. Runnette was the listing agent for the property.
