In some more positive police news, four members of the Stamford Police Department were promoted Tuesday night, two officers being promoted to Sergeant and two sergeants promoted to Lieutenant.
Some Stamford Police also took part in the massive exercises that went down at New Canaan's Saxe Middle School Thursday where emergency responders practiced various scenarios involving an active shooter.
In a tragic turn of events Tuesday, a worker at O&G Industries was struck and killed by a Caterpillar frontloader. Police identified the man as Francisco Dos Santos, 59, of Naugatuck, on Wendesday.
Kaitlyn Tarpey, a Stamford resident who just happens to also be Miss Connecticut, shared her inspirational story with Patch and also shared a tip on how to do the perfect Miss America wave.
