Mianus Park has seen yet another increase in dogs off leash and Stamford Animal Care & Control officers are set to make another ticketing push following a slew of complaints.
According to Director Laurie Hollywood, 15 dogs were reported off leash in the park by 10:45 a.m. on September 15, 2013, alone.
"The problem there has not gotten any better," Hollywood said.
Hollywood also said she's been receiving increased complaints from residents who own houses in the area. A woman who invested in a fence around her property said dogs are still entering near the driveway entrance and harassing her children when they go outside to get in the car to head to school during the mornings.
"We went up there and were going to have to start going up again regularly," she said. "The leaves are changing and it's very nice out, so lots of people are taking their dogs there to walk through the park, but they're letting them off leash and it's creating problems."
