Talk Like a Pirate, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet, Old Town Hall Redevelopment

Hey Stamford, it's predicted to be a sunny 76 degrees Thursday before dropping to 54 degrees in the evening, according to Weather.comTide charts show low tide hitting around 5:38 a.m. and 6:06 p.m. and high tide at around 11:39 a.m.

Thursday is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and neighboring Pump It Up Norwalk is ready to celebrate with a fun-filled day for kids. Stamford's Barnes & Noble has its own festivities planned for youngsters.

The New Canaan YMCA and Stamford Hospital will be presenting on Thursday "Take Control: Help for Women with Bladder & Pelvic Problems" with a Stamford Hospital Urogynecologist. Seating is limited and advanced registration is required. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at the New Canaan YMCA at 564 South Avenue. This free event is part of their Fall Physician's Speakers Bureau. 

The Stamford Government Center has WPCA, Old Town Hall Redevelopment, Traffic Advisory Committee and Environmental Protection Board meetings scheduled for Thursday. Check the full calendar listings here if you're interested in attending. 

The Avon Theater presents with the Alliance Française of Greenwich a new French film by Alain Resnais, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at 272 Bedford Street.
