Mayor Michael Pavia gave an updated statement Thursday concerning the location of the fireworks, which will be hosted at Cummings Park July 3.
He also announced the corporate sponsors for the event.
"I could not be more pleased to have Stamford corporate citizens’ key support which allows us to resume the long standing tradition of celebrating our nation’s birthday in such a festive way," said Pavia.
According to a release, lead sponsors for the fireworks event are SL Green Corp with Garden Homes Management Corporation and Fairway Market, and O&G Industries, who will provide an in-kind contribution of barge services. The cost of the fireworks is estimated to be $80 thousand dollars.
