Upcoming Lower Summer Street Block Party To Bring 'Lively' Atmosphere To Stamford Downtown

STAMFORD, CT — Summer Street in downtown Stamford will close to traffic later Thursday as the city hosts its annual Lower Summer Street Block Party.

The free event is scheduled for Aug. 21 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the stretch between Broad Street and Summer Place turned into a pedestrian zone.

Organizers say the block party will feature live music, expanded outdoor dining patios and entertainment, creating what they describe as a lively open-street atmosphere in the heart of Stamford.
