Victim Identified in I-95 Pedestrian Accident

The Stamford man was struck by a tractor-trailer truck on Tuesday afternoon in Darien.

A Stamford man has been identified as the pedestrian killed when he was reportedly struck by a tractor-trailer just north of Exit 9 on I-95 on Tuesday afternoon.

Connecticut State Police identified the victim as Timothy John Sheridan, 49, of Stamford, according to The Advocate.

Police said it was about 12:47 p.m. Feb. 2 when they received several calls that a pedestrian was struck by the truck on the highway in the northbound lanes of the highway in Darien. The accident investigation and subsequent lane closures caused traffic backups through the evening rush hour.
