Victim In NY Shooting Dropped Off At Stamford Hospital, Police Say

STAMFORD, CT — A 22-year-old man who sustained gunshot wound to the buttocks in New York City was dropped off at Stamford Hospital on Monday afternoon, according to Stamford police.

The man walked into the emergency room at approximately 3:27 p.m., and local police responded, Assistant Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin told Patch.

The shooting occurred within the confines of the 47th precinct, located in the North Bronx, according to Conklin, who noted the New York City Police Department was sending personnel to Stamford to interview the victim.

An NYPD spokesperson told Patch that on Monday at approximately 2:10 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in the 4200 block of White Plains Road in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 23-year-old man who was injured in the shooting was taken "by private means" to Stamford Hospital, and he's currently in stable condition, the NYPD spokesperson said.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
