A 60-year-old Stamford woman was found dead in her condominium on Friday after friends at a local bird shop became concerned they had not seen her for several days.

Stamford Police told The Advocate that they do not suspect foul play. The woman apparently died a few days earlier inside her Hamilton Avenue residence that she shared with her two dozen pet birds, according to the report. Her identity has not been released.

Employees of Parrots & Company in the Glenbrook neighborhood of Stamford became concerned when another customer who was a friend of the woman asked if they had seen her recently. Employees and a building superintendent found the woman and called authorities.
