Woman Suffers Head Injury When She Is Struck by a Minivan

A driver was ticketed Wednesday morning after she reportedly struck a 70-year-old woman was crossing High Ridge Road at Olga Drive.

The victim was heading to work at the Burger King on High Ridge Road when she was struck by a Honda Odyssey minivan Wednesday morning, according to The Advocate. The victim suffered a severe head cut and was taken to Stamford Hospital where she was admitted to the critical care unit as a precaution.

Police issued the driver a $181 ticket for failure to grant the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, according to The Advocate story that can be found here.
