Women's Business Development Council to Host 'Women with Impact' Symposium

The annual business breakfast and symposium takes place Friday, Sept. 23.

The Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) of Connecticut, will hold its annual fundraiser, Women with Impact Business Breakfast and Symposium, on Friday, Sept. 23 from 7-10 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, 1800 East Putnam Ave. in Old Greenwich. This 15th WBDC fundraising event will host more than 650 guests and draws national and regional business, political and social leaders. Jill R. Hummel, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Connecticut, is the chairperson of theWBDC Women with Impact Breakfast.

With the U.S. presidential elections just weeks after the WBDC Business Breakfast, the panel will discuss needed critical economic changes that can strengthen women’s entrepreneurship.

The panel will include Lesley Jane Seymour, media entrepreneur, former editor-in-chief of More; Kimberly A. Blackwell, CEO of PMM Agency, “2015 EBONY Power 100;” Margaret Price, CEO of Ridgefield Supply Company; Betty Spence, president of the National Association for Female Executives and Allison Schieffelin Walker, chairman and CEO of The Lighting Quotient.

The cost to attend is $175 per person, with table sponsorship between $2,500 and $20,000.
