Effective immediately, Paul "Triple H" Levesque will serve as executive vice president, talent relations.

STAMFORD, CT — World Wrestling Entertainment announced Friday that Paul "Triple H" Levesque is back in an executive role with the company.
Effective immediately, Levesque will serve as executive vice president, talent relations.
"I look forward to returning to my prior position as head of talent relations. I’m healthy, fired up, and ready to take charge," Levesque said in a brief statement from WWE.

He followed the announcement up with a tweet, saying, "Proud and honored to work with the best talent in the world."
Levesque, 52, took time away from the company last year after he underwent a heart procedure in September 2021. He had been serving as the head of NXT, WWE's training ground for up-and-coming wrestlers.

At the time, WWE said Levesque suffered a "cardiac event" that was brought on by a genetic heart condition.
But in March of this year, Levesque revealed in an interview with ESPN's Stephen A. Smith that he had viral pneumonia and was in heart failure. He also said that he would be stepping away from in-ring competition for good.
During his interview with Smith, Levesque became emotional when talking about just how close he was to dying, saying he was "on the one-yard line of where you don't want to be."
Levesque and his wife, Stephanie McMahon, now find themselves atop the company's hierarchy in the wake of a probe into Vince McMahon, who stepped down as WWE chairman and CEO last month.
Vince McMahon reportedly paid more than $12 million to multiple women in order to silence allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
Levesque replaces Bruce Prichard, who was serving as interim head of talent relations. John Laurinaitis stepped down from the position last month after similar allegations of sexual misconduct.
