$40-Million Expansion Planned At Mystic Retirement Community
A retirement community is planning to add apartments and common space to its 33-acre campus, according to reports.
MYSTIC, CT — StoneRidge is planning to expand its retirement community with a new, 72-apartment wing attached to its existing buildings, according to The Day of New London.
Plans for the $40-million project still need to be approved by the Stonington Planning & Zoning Commission.
The project will also add over 140,000 square feet of common space with a dining area, maker space, multipurpose room, and more, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

Plans call for 54 new apartments for independent living, plus 14 units with additional services for assisted living.
StoneRidge's property is 33 acres and has an appraised value of $34.2 million.

The expansion project is described as "a thoughtfully designed enhancement to our vibrant Life Plan Community" on StoneRidge's website.
