Stonington Free Library

David Hyland has spent the last twenty years working as a technical instructor in the airline industry. His presentation shows the development of airliners from open cockpit aircraft of the 1920s thru modern jetliners. He will discuss the impact airline travel has had on our society and will also discuss safety of modern air travel and what we can do to make it more enjoyable.
The presentation will last approximately one hour with time for questions afterward.

Gungywamp is an archaeological site of distinct natural and cultural interest. It has rocky ridges, glacial erratics and swamps along with enigmatic stone shelter and structures whose use and origin are open to interpretation. Walk with us through the woods and absorb the mysteries of Gungywamp. This program is suited for adults and families comfortable walking two miles over uneven terrain.

Join Joann and Jim Mead, authors of Married in Moscow: A Red-hot Memoir in Cold War Times, for a lively presentation filled with stories, rare images, music, and conversation. Road Church: “Share the Love” of Life and Love in Moscow with Joann & Jim Mead

Join us for a fascinating presentation on both historical and recent UFO sightings in Connecticut and nearby regions. Discover cases that remain unexplained and why they continue to intrigue researchers. The event will conclude with an open forum—community members are welcome to share their own experiences for inclusion in the historical record.
Presented by Michael Panicello, a UFO researcher and investigator with over 30 years of experience. Michael is the State Director of Connecticut MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) and Regional Director for New England. He has investigated over 200 cases and is a certified field investigator, a member of MUFON’s STAR team, and an expert in lesser-known UFO sightings and propulsion systems. Michael has shared his insights on numerous podcasts, radio shows, and TV programs.

Rustic-chic private farm venue in scenic Stonington, CT 

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse.
