Alleged Abductor Out On $20,000 Bail
Matthew Klotz, 27, Of Stonington, CT, Is Being Charged With Felony Counts Of Kidnapping, Assault With A Deadly Weapon And Carrying A Dangerous Weapon While Committing A Crime Of Violence.

Matthew Klotz, the 27-year-old Stonington, CT man accused of a woman Friday afternoon, was arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on Monday morning and released.
Klotz was released on $20,000 surety bail. He was given permission to return to Stonington to live with his mother, but he was ordered to not travel to another other state, to have no contact with the victim, to sign a waiver of extradition, to possess to firearms and to surrender any firearms he might have to police.
According to Narragansett Police Lt. Scott Perrin, police did find a black replica handgun in Klotz’s truck when it was searched.

Narragansett Police believe that Klotz may have been stalking other women in Rhode Island the past year – the woman who initially identified Klotz said she ducked into a Dunkin’ Donuts after she thought he was following him, which lead to the security camera footage.
