Award-Winning Chef Opens Fast-Casual Restaurant In Mystic
A new restaurant featuring sustainable local seafood is opening at a popular downtown Mystic spot.
MYSTIC, CT — New eatery Mystic Fish Camp held a grand opening Monday in downtown Mystic.
The event featured "campfire classics, nostalgic fun, and all your fish shack favorites served by James Beard-Award winning Chef David Standridge." Standridge is executive chef at The Shipwright's Daughter, a Mystic restaurant.
Plans for the seafood restaurant were approved by the town in January.

Mystic Fish Camp is taking over the former location of Mystical Toys, which closed in 2021.
The restaurant focuses on sustainable local seafood prepared onsite and served primarily to go.

The restaurant bills itself as "where New England's coastal charm meets the nostalgia of summer camp, offering a family-friendly, fast-casual take on the traditional fish shack restaurant," according to its website.
Mystic Fish Camp will be open Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
