Bloomberg Names Mystic Summer's Top Dining Destination

MYSTIC, CT — Bloomberg has named Mystic the summer's top dining destination. It wasn't long ago that the most famous place to eat in town was Mystic Pizza, the subject of a 1988 Julia Roberts movie, but a lot has changed since then.

Bloomberg writes: "Now, the picturesque coastal town is among the most exciting culinary destinations on the East Coast, with some of the country’s best seafood, along with heirloom produce, exquisitely crafted breads, superb coffee flavored with miso, and yes, pizza. Chefs and restaurant operators are seeing Mystic as a more attractive vacation spot to do business than, say, the Hamptons on nearby Long Island, N.Y."

Featured restaurants include the Shipwright's Daughter, Port of Call, Oyster Club, Nana's Bakery & Pizza, and Sift Bake Shop.
