Taught by Carlota Carballo Carrero
This workshop introduces teens to creating whimsical animal and plant illustrations using pen and ink, enhanced by watercolor washes. Participants learn essential inking techniques such as line weight, cross-hatching, and stippling through demonstrations and practice. They’ll sketch their chosen nature-inspired subjects, develop compositions, and refine their drawings before carefully inking outlines and adding texture and shading. Finally, students apply controlled watercolor washes to bring color and depth while preserving the ink details.
The process includes introduction to tools, sketching, detailed inking, watercolor application, and final refinements, fostering both technical and artistic skills.
