Celebrate Connecticut Open House Day in Stonington!

Stonington museums and businesses are offering free admission and other discounts.

Three of Stonington's locales are participating in Connecticut Open House Day this Saturday.

"Open House Day is a great way for you to experience all the state has to offer and to encourage you to become Connecticut Ambassadors who take pride in sharing your new discoveries with visiting family and friends. The annual event is coordinated by the Connecticut Office of Tourism, a division of the Department of Economic & Community Development," says the event's website.

The Denison Homestead Museum, located at 120 Pequotsepos Road, is offering free admission from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The Mystic Aquarium, located at 55 Coogan Boulevard, will be pen from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m and is offering $5 off general admission for up to four people. Visitors will need to mention Connecticut Open House Day and provide proof of residency to receive the discount. It cannot be combined with any other offer.

Studio M11C Art Gallery & Framing, located at 29 Cottrell Street, is offering $25 off custom artisan French matting and framing for diplomas from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Each visitor will receive a free greeting card.
