Reconnect with nature in Stonington with a nature walk on National Trails Day!
Stonington will be marking the national event with a nature hike with the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center on Sunday according to the Connecticut Forest and Parks Association pamphlet.
On Sunday, June 2 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 people are invited to explore the lesser traveled trails at this wildlife sanctuary and education center. As we hike through woodlands, wetlands, and meadows, we will keep a look out for birds, amphibians, interesting plants, and more.
Meet at the front desk of the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center (109 Pequotspeos Road). Pre-registration is NOT NECESSARY. Questions: contact leader Kim Hargrave, (860) 535-1216, khargrave@dpnc.org.
