Wednesday: Have you visited Lyman Allyn’s exhibit “Greasy Luck! The Whaling World of the Charles W. Morgan”? The exhibit looks at how whaling, —its myths and reality, risk and reward, —left its mark on Connecticut and American identity. Exhibit lasts through June, museum opens at 10 a.m.

Thursday: At 7 p.m. Maureen Gillis, a Certified Advanced Master Gardener and Master Composter, will be presenting “Scape to the Wonderful World of Garlic”. People will leave this program with a case of garlic mania and ready to plant their crop at the end of October.

Friday: Emerson Theatre Collaborative stages “Fight Night,” a play about women friendships written by Judith Clinton and produced by Camilla Ross at the First United Methodist Church in Mystic at 5 p.m. In the play, Betty invites her old pal Capri to join her when she accompanies Jimmy to a heavyweight fight at a casino. Capri is excited to hang out like they used to, but she is uncomfortable about Jimmy. Capri makes Betty promise not to leave her alone with him. That night, Betty and Capri’s friendship is tested in a most unexpected way.
