Dog Found on Route 49 in North Stonington

The dog was found on March 8 and if she is not claimed by an owner, applications will be accepted for adoption, Animal Control said.

North Stonington Animal Control found the above dog on Route 49 in North Stonington. They wrote:

"Although this sweet girl is not eligible for adoption quite yet we are beginning to lose hope that someone is looking for her. With that said we would like to begin accepting applications now so if the time comes and no one has claimed her we can get her into the loving home she deserves ASAP."

On March 9, Animal Control said if they do not find an owner in the next week, they will post adoption information on their Facebook page.

"If she does go up for adoption we will be accepting adoption applications, but hopefully with everyone sharing we can reunite her with her family," Animal Control said.

Adoption applications may be requested by emailing aco@northstoningtonct.gov. Animal Control can be reached at 860-287-2197.
