Heather Buck Ends UConn Career In Style

In the last game of her college career, Buck steals, shoots and scores in the Huskies' rout of Louisville in the NCAA tournament final.

Stonington High School's most famous basketball star, Heather Buck, ended her career as a UConn Husky Tuesday night on a high note.

With a huge lead in the second half, Coach Geno Auriemma pulled Buck, a fifth-year senior, off the bench. Buck played 3 minutes and made the most of it, with an assist, a steal, two shots and 2 points. When she scored, her teammates on the bench celebrated wildly.

UConn beat Louisville 93-60 to win its eighth national championship.

Buck graduated from Stonington High in 2008 and is the daughter of Mayada Wadsworth and David Buck of Stonington.
