Here Are The Mystic Restaurants That Landed On CT Magazine Lists

Two Mystic restaurants were named on a list of the best in the state. Two other restaurants were named in the best new restaurant category.

MYSTIC, CT — Two Mystic restaurants made Connecticut Magazine's list for overall excellence. Two other Mystic establishments were named in the new restaurants category.

In the overall excellence list, Oyster Club at 13 Water St. and The Shipwright's Daughter at 20 E. Main St. made the cut.

In new restaurants, Andiamo at 247 Greenmanville Ave. and Ignazio's Pizzeria at 42 Williams Ave. were named.

Connecticut Magazine praised Andiamo's Northern Italian cuisine, mentioning that its "Parmesan and whipped ricotta is comfort food at its best."

The magazine said Ignazio's is "Brooklyn meets Mystic and the result is delicious Neapolitan pizza" with a broad range of toppings from white clam to Tex-Mex.

The Shipwright's Daughter executive chef David Standridge was recently named a semifinalist for the James Beard Awards. Connecticut Magazine not only named the restaurant one of the best overall but also gave it nods for best seafood, best brunch, and best New American.

The Oyster Club was nominated in the categories for most romantic, New American, seafood, raw bar, desserts, and outdoor dining.
