Stonington Municipal Meetings:
Monday: The Stonington Town Hall is closed to observe Labor Day.
Tuesday: Affordable Housing Committee meets at 4 p.m. in the Human Services Building.

Wednesday: Comm. on Aging meets at 4 p.m. in the Human Services Building; the 2014 POCD Subcommittee (Special Meeting) meets at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room; the Board of Finance meets at 7 p.m. at the Police Department.
Thursday: Shellfish Comm. Meets at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room; Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Comm. meets at 7 p.m. in the Police Department; Mystic Harbor Mgmt. Comm. meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Fourth District Voting Hall on Broadway Avenue.

Just for Fun
Monday: Happy Labor Day!
Tuesday: The Mystic & Noank Library presents a collaborative exhibition of artwork by local artists in the Ames Room this month. The opening reception is tonight at 6 p.m.
Wednesday: Pawcatuck Lions Club Pasta Supper from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Harley P. Chase VFW Post 1265, which is at 160 South Broad Street. It’s an all you can eat pasta dinner that includes pasta with meat sauce, salad, bread, butter, a cookie and a beverage for $7, $4 for children under 12. You can also drop off old eyeglasses and hearing aids.
Thursday: Believe it or not, it’s flu shot season. There’s a VNASC Sponsored Flu Clinic today at the North Stonington Senior Center beginning at 9 a.m. Bring your insurance information.
Friday: The Taste of Mystic begins today! Join hundreds of hungry people down on Cottrell Street for samples of appetizers, entrees and desserts served by the area’s favorite restaurants. The fun starts at 5 p.m. and continues through the weekend. Also, LaGrua Center exhibit “Idea to Execution” opens today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibit features the works of artist of Lords Hill Studio.
