Moby Dick Marathon, Author Matthew Goldman and Portuguese Sweet Bread!
Five things you really should know on the very last day of July.

1 Today will be exactly like yesterday, clear, sunny with a high near 80. Tonight the temps will drop to 63 but the skies will remain clear.
2. Have questions about "Moby-Dick" and Melville? Go to the Mystic Seaport at 10:30 a.m. before the Moby-Dick Marathon begins to ask a panel of scholars anything you want to know about this literary masterpiece. And if you can't make it down there, you will find them on Twitter @MbyDickMarathon as we live-tweet the event and watch a live video feed on their website.
3. At 6:30, the library invites you to meet author Matthew Goldman (aka Constant Waterman); he will talk about his books and writing.

4. Music is one of the things people travel for, and music at Harkness Memorial Park as the sun is setting should be on everyone’s summer bucket list. Tonight Leon Russell performs live on the Eoila Mansion lawn beginning at 5 p.m.
5. The Village Fair is a Stonington tradition but there’s one thing you may always forget about until it’s too late - Pre-order your Portuguese Sweet Bread for the day of the Fair! The COMO is selling medium and large sized loaves from Lou's Bakery of Fall River, MA! Medium Loaves are $6 each and large loaves are $8 each.
