New Restaurants Open In Mystic, Pawcatuck

A fine dining restaurant has opened in a Mystic hotel, and a family-friendly seafood restaurant is now open in Pawcatuck.

STONINGTON, CT — Two new restaurants recently opened in the area. J&G Rail Side Restaurant has opened in the Pawcatuck section of town. The restaurant held an official ribbon-cutting with the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce last week.

The spot specializes in American cuisine along with fresh seafood and offers a kids' menu along with vegan and gluten-free options. It's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving up everything from pancakes and French toast to lobster rolls, filet mignon, and tacos.

La Plage opened recently at the Delamar Hotel. The restaurant is located at 105 Greenmanville Ave. and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m.

The restaurant promises "an exquisite dining experience," according to its website. The menu includes a raw bar with the chef's selection of oysters, appetizers like Crispy Mediterranean Octopus, and entrees such as Lobster Fra Diavolo and Heritage Pork Chop.

La Plage works with local fishermen "to bring you the finest, freshest seafood," according to its Instagram page.
