Pawcatuck Man Charged After Brief Police Chase on Highway Ends At Clarion Hotel
According to the report at Troop E barracks, several pedestrians in the hotel parking lot were nearly hit.

A Pawcatuck man was hit with eight charges by state police after a brief chase on Interstate 95 that ended with a scuffle in the Clarion Hotel parking lot in Mystic.
Keith L. Foshee, 43, of 98 Broad St., Pawcatuck, was charged March 22 with operating/towing an unregistered vehicle, improper use of a marker, insurance coverage fails minimum requirements, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license or registration, disobeying the signal of an officer, failure to drive in the proper lane, interfering with an officer and secod-degree reckless endangerment.
According to the report filed at Troop E in Montville, an officer observed Foshee's Ford pick-up truck swerving on I-95 south between exits 91 and 90. When the officer attempted to pull over the truck, it left the highway at Exit 90 and went down Route 27. It then drove into the Clarion Hotel parking lot, up onto a sidewalk, and across a grassy area, all at a high rate of speed, police said.

The report noted that "several pedestrians" were nearly struck.
The driver then parked the truck, got out and started walking. The police report said the arrest was made after a brief struggle.
