Pawcatuck Residents Charged In Connection With Groton Motorcycle Accident

An unidentified man was injured in a motorcycle crash on the Gold Star Highway

 

A motorcycle driver was struck on Gold Star Highway Monday afternoon after a car pulled out of a driveway in front of him and he was struck by another vehicle, Groton police said.

The motorcycle driver, who was not identified, was taken by Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for injuries to his legs. The accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near Antonio Drive.

Todd Caswell, 22, of 53 South Broad Street, Unit # 1 in Pawcatuck, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and failing to grant the right of way, police said.

Alissa Hinman, 21, of 53 South Broad Street, Unit # 1 in Pawcatuck, owner of the vehicle Caswell was driving, was charged with allowing operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, allowing operation of a motor vehicle without insurance and allowing operation of an unregistered motor vehicle.

Caswell and Hinman were processed and released on bonds. Both are scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on July 13.
